They’re also supposed to be able to sense doom and death.
So what if that applies to Dannys ghost sense. It’s not just a ghost sense. It’s literally a death sense.
He’s sensing the dead before they show up. Just like a banshee can sense death beforehand as well.
This may also be why Vlad doesn’t have a ghost sense in canon.
He’s not the same type of Ghost as Danny is.
The ghost sense seems to be unique to Danny, specifically in the series.
Again male banshees are rare so that makes sense.
But the reason this won’t leave me alone is because it fits Dannys character so well but also for the levels of angst it can provide as his ghost instincts get stronger.
He starts to get premonitions of Doom before they happen and his obsession naturally compels him to try and prevent them. But he doesn’t just settle for giving a warning like other banshees. If Danny can prevent the disaster and save people he will. He’s driven to protect, and help those in need as much as possible.
But then he gets those urges some nights, ones where he knows he will not be able to help.
He knows someone is about to die, and so he crys.
His wail is long and haunting and at first the citizens of amity fear it.
They assume that phantom is causing the deaths.
But then someone captures him in the act. Takes a video of his tear stained face as his voice carries out in sorrow.
And they realize Phantom is mourning a citizen he can’t save.

So, there are a lot of ‘Marinette changes schools’ au’s and I love a whole bunch of them don’t get me wrong. BUT the one thing I haven’t seen yet is Marinette changing schools not because of Lila or salt but simply because her parents are moving and they want her to attend a school close to home. So without further ado let me sell you on my little idea:
Lila has been plotting weeks worth of plans and lies, she’s thought up some sob stories about being stalked, about near death experiences, about celebrities that are like her family. She has plans for Marinette all the ways she could make the girl look bad and all the ways she could force Adrien to see her. That all goes out the window one day when she gets to school and it’s a sob fest. There is a clear air of dread and dismay, the blue skies she saw on the way to school replaced with heavy storm clouds. And when she gets to class it’s worse. Marinette and Alya are hugging and crying, Adrien looks like he’s been shot, Nino and Kim are demanding to know ‘why’ even Chloe looks upset, her blue eyes a little glassy. Lila quickly learns why, Marinette’s parents’ business is doing GREAT so great in fact that they have decided to open a second location! The twist? They also decided to move INTO the new location and with it being on the other side of Paris and her parents fears for their daughters safety that means Marinette is moving to a new school!
HoKAY so I held onto this one because I still needed to do my “pause every three seconds to write notes and make dumb quips in the discord chat” rewatch, but NOW!

problem with that, Alya knows for a fact that Marinette’s phone is
broken! But she’s also sure that Lila can’t be telling lies! Finally
Alya understands whats REALLY going on, someone is trying to frame
Marinette Dupain-Cheng and she and the class will not rest until they
figure out who’s doing it!
This is a class sugar / comedy fic with
just a dash of gratuitous Marinette multi-shipping as everyone has a
